Creating healthy, gorgeous meals has been Linda B's passion for nearly 20 years, but actually, she’s been cooking since she was five years old, as a student of two “fabulous grandma cooks.” Her mother’s a lifetime Food Service Director, and Linda B’s honored to have followed in her footsteps.
As Food Service Director for a high school, college, convention center, and another health care facility, Linda B’s provided tens of thousands of people the gastronomic pleasure and health benefits of delicious, natural, health-restoring plant-based foods, prepared with loving care. She also ran her own healthy catering company, The Wooden Spoon, and has developed curricula and taught at cooking schools. Since 2004, she’s directed Lifestyle Center of America’s Windcrest Restaurant, where she supervises a staff of 11.
A self-taught chef, Linda B. still spends hours researching and perfecting her skills in the art and science of making healthy meals look and taste wonderful. Linda B says all she does is take the brilliant, beautiful colors, flavors, and textures of wholesome, natural foods, and just adds the finishing touch. But there’s more to it than that. When a meal plan is as nutritionally restrictive as ours is, people feel deprived unless the foods look and smell enticing—then a whole new world of culinary pleasure opens up. When Linda’s not cooking, she’s traveling the world as an avid birdwatcher.
