Most people with any kind of degree in nutrition do not know how to cook. They might know the theory, but don’t practice it or know how to put it on the plate. Not so with Diana. She has a passion for nutrition and practices healthy total plant-based eating in her personal life. And she knows how to cook!
For years she was involved in food preparation, training and education associated with vegan restaurants in several locations in the US and the world. Her formal training took place at Tufts University, with her four thesis papers being published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. After one year of post-doc work at Tufts, she joined the staff at the Lifestyle Center of America in August of 2002 where she has served as Director of Nutritional Services since 2003.
Diana is now specializing in nutrition education and counseling for people with diabetes. She has a passion and enthusiasm for nutrition education, which the guests at the Lifestyle Center continually confirm is clearly contagious. Looking at her, you wouldn’t think she has any food issues. But by her own admission, she has had some. She is a recovered chocolate addict and sweet food junkie.
